The Castel Brando is one the famous Cap Corse's "Americans' houses" that were built during the 19th century by the numerous Corsicans who, after they emigrated to the New World and made fortune there, came back to their homeland.
Dating from 1853, the Hotel main building, with its thick walls made of rocks, has been restored keeping in mind its original, authentic patrician atmosphere. Here, crisp-white walls and vaulted ceilings contrast with the ancient terracotta floors. In every room, you will find original antique furniture and decorative items, all typical from 19th-century Corsica.
The domain's different buildings are connected by stone-paved lanes that conduce to green, refreshing gardens and sunny terraces, where only bird songs and the whispering of a small fountain disturb the ambient quietness. Just nearby are the Hotel's two swimming pools, one of which is heated, and the jacuzzi. On their sides, one can comfortably rest and enjoy the sun.
The small lobby and its library is a warm, cosy space where guests enjoy a tea or a glass of wine during fresher spring and autumn nights.
Only a few footsteps away from the Hotel, you will find the historical center of Erbalunga, its animated cafés and restaurants' terraces, its picturesque stone-paved alleys, the medieval tower and the tiny fishermen harbor. Visit the village on this site at Erbalunga's page
